I’m so excited to bring to you another ProPlate interview. This week we interviewed the dynamic and driven Elizna van Alleman – a passionate athlete and qualified personal trainer bringing the active way of life to students in Potchefstroom!!
This dynamic young woman is the owner of her own business, Mode de vie Actif, which is French for “Active way of life”. As a national-level athlete, she knows what it takes to push your physical limits in order to elevate performance (and health!).
I come from Krugersdorp and went to Randburg High School. I have always done sports – it runs through my veins, and I have a big passion for it.
I am currently competing in athletics for the University of Potchefstroom and I am also a coach for various athletic disciplines.
After high school I studied personal training at ETA College and thus I am a qualified personal trainer.
Competing on national level in athletics and to live my passion.
I train 5 days a week of which 2 days comprise of gym work and the other 3 days we practise technique on the athletics track and field. These sessions generally range between 2-3 hours.
A six pack is made in the kitchen. Out of my own experience I have learnt how important good nutrition is for the human body. It (good nutrition) brings a healthy body as well as more energy that can be used. When your nutrition is on point, you feel healthy and good about yourself.
I eat 3 Provitas prior to training in order to keep my energy levels up and usually consume a glass of milk after training. During athletics meets I love having some jelly babies or some other kind of jellies to provide quick fuel.
Pizza, peanut butter and biltong!
They can find me on:
