Our coaching programme at Health Elevation Nutrition is about much more than providing a static meal plan. We recognise that we work with real athletes and active individuals that live busy and unpredictable lives.
Our goal is not to prescribe but rather to work in a team with our clients to identify the root causes of food choices and construct a plan to systematically incorporate behaviour changes into their lives for long term success.
Nutrition choices are multifaceted and can be visualized using a tree-and-roots analogy: The tree being the daily nutrition choices we make, and the roots the underlying causes for these choices: our budget, our nutrition knowledge, body image, culture, cooking skills, social and training environment, preferences, food security, mood, habits, mindset and stage of life.
Meal plans are only one of the tools in the toolbox that Health Elevation Nutrition coaching clients receive. After conducting a nutritional assessment, our dietitian will guide you along the journey of change, lead you to know how to maintain it and provide you with the tools you need to become more resilient in the face of nutritional adversities curveballs, and unforeseen circumstances.
Nutritional resilience could mean becoming more adaptable while travelling or during holidays, celebrations, and situations where limited options are available or improving food buying and cooking skills. It could also be receiving more education and empowerment about science-based nutrition to make informed food choices.
